Make Time was a game-changer for me. It gave me permission to work on my own priorities instead of reacting to everyone else's. What I didn't like was the energy section's emphasis on evolutionary psychology and living like a caveman (the caveman was called Urk, which I constitute irritatingly cutesy). I absolutely loved it and it's making me recommend this to everyone. Yes, this is a self-help volume and I don't usually read a lot of self-help, just because I picket a lot of study content on Youtube so by at present I know what is best for me and also, almost of them reiterate the same things. This one did take advice that most of united states are aware of like having a relaxing night routine to really wind down before bed, rethink our caffeine strategies, and reshape our (often toxic) relationship with social media and technology. But the writers have written this and so incredibly well: it's easy to understand and does not dump too much data at in one case. They admit that they aren't perfect human beings and do non follow all the advice and tips in this book (they binge Netflix too so do non worry, anybody has their fair share of guilty pleasures!) The Brand Time philosophy is very simple yet then effective. I have decided to showtime implementing it in my daily life too and doing daily check-ins as suggested on Pg. 271 of the book because I have been in a productivity/life slump lately. I oasis't felt similar doing anything for the last ane month and well.. people say take breaks, heal, don't stress yourself out considering y'all aren't doing work but I am a workaholic and I honey working in a state of 'catamenia'. And so, information technology can exist said that Make Time came into my life at the verbal correct fourth dimension.
One drawback of this is that some of the communication in the Highlight and Laser department(s) related to technology does not use to those who make a living out of an online concern and/or social media.
